Raiding Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of raiding?

Better weapons and armor; raid bosses drop purple gear. Please note that guilds vary in their requirements for raiding. Some may require you to already have a piece of raid gear while others may require only that you have decent gear for your level. Such requirements are usually put into place to ensure that raids go smoothly and quickly.

At what level can I join a raid?

Level 70 is usually the point at which a guild will allow you to raid with them. Unless the person is given special permission, it is rare to see anyone below this level in a raid. Note that some guilds set their cut-off at level 75, but this is usually done for the higher tier raids.

How long must I wait before I am able to raid in the same location?

You must wait precisely seven days. The raid will reset for you seven days later at the exact time that you leave instance. So, if you leave the raid instance at 7pm on August 1st, you may raid again at 7pm on August 8th. Please note that you are only "locked out" of a raid if any of the mobs die within the instance.

What are raid tiers?

Each raid is rated by Funcom and placed into a "tier," depending on how difficult it is to complete. A raid will never change a tier, however, unless Funcom suddenly decides to do so (which has not yet happened). There are four Tiers, numbered One through Four.

What are the Tier One (aka T1) raids and where are they?

The T1 raids are: Kylikki, Vistrix, and Yakmar.

Kylikki is located in Field of the Dead.

Vistrix is located in Atzel's Approach.

Yakmar is located in the Eiglophian Mountains.

What are the Tier Two (T2) raids and where are they?

The T2 raids are Wing One, Wing Two, and Wing Three of the Black Ring Citadel (BRC) located in Keshatta.

What are the Tier Three (T3) raids and where are they?

The T3 raid instance is Thoth Amon's Stronghold and is located in Keshatta in the city itself.

What are the Tier 3.5 (T3.5) raids and where are they?

The T3.5 raid instance is the Temple of Erlik located in Turan.

What are the Tier Four (T4) raids and where are they?

The T4 raid instance is the Jade Citadel, which is located in Paikang.
