How do I join a faction?
You must speak with Astreas at the entrance to the Northern Grasslands. He will give you a quest to speak with each faction leader before choosing a faction. Once you've made your choice, give the leader the Letter of Recommendation. You'll need to speak to Astreas again to confirm the faction joining.
To join the Tamarin Tigers or Scholars of Cheng Ho faction, you must enter Chosain Province from the Northern Grasslands. At the bottom of the stairs and beginning of the path, a quest giver awaits you. Speak to him.
To join the Insurrection faction, you must enter Paikang and move down the trail to the area of tents. Standing near the fire is a woman you must speak to.
To join the Jiang Shi faction, you must enter Kara Korum and locate the first of six gold symbols embedded on the building walls. The first correct one you click on (you must do them in a certain order) gives you a quest to begin the Jiang Shi faction.
Can you join more than one faction?
Yes. You can join a total of four factions. You can join all four before you hit Rank One in any of them.
Where do I find what factions I am in and what factions I am hostile to?
By default, the window is bound to "L" but you can also press "P" and find a button under the factions heading. If you happened to rebind your keys and are not sure what opens it, just open up the Attributes panel to find the factions button.
Where can I find my Faction Rank and how do I see how many points I have to get in order to go up in rank?
Open your Attributes panel and click the Faction button (if you do not know which key opens your Factions panel). Under each Faction name, you will see either "Friendly," "Neutral," "Hostile," or a rank name. To the right of each Faction name, you'll see two numbers. The number of the left is you current total. The number on the right is how much you have to get for the next rank.
Can I leave a faction and join the opposing faction?
Yes! You must first become hostile to the faction you wish to leave. To do so, simply kill members of the faction you wish to become hostile to. Note that you must get rid of all of your faction points to become hostile to a faction. Leaving a faction is not a quick thing.
Once you are hostile to the faction you wish to leave, locate the main camp of the faction you wish to join. Near its entrance you'll find a board with a poster on it. Right-click on the poster to retrieve the quest prompt. Accept the quest it offers you and complete it. You must gain 5,000 faction points toward the faction you wish to join to become friendly to it.
What are Imperial Insignias for and where can I find them in my stuff?
Imperial Insignias are found in your quest inventory. You may turn them into a Faction Herald for Faction Standing Points. One Insignia is equal to 200 standing.
What are Acclaim Tokens for and where can I find them in my stuff?
Acclaim Tokens are used to purchase Faction Armor. You may find them by clicking the Tokens button on your Inventory box.
